Sherbet \Sher"bet\, n. [Ar. sherbet, shorbet, sharbat, properly,
one drink or sip, a draught, beverage, from shariba to drink.

of some fruit, diluted, sweetened, and flavored in various
ways; as, orange sherbet; lemon sherbet; raspberry
